Quarantine Bay
Quarantine Bay is found about 3km south of Eden on the NSW South Coast. It is so named because a sailing ship with a smallpox epidemic amongst the people on board took refuge in the isolated area. Many people died from the disease and were burried on shore in a communal grave. Today it is a refuge for boats and one of the main casting off points for boats to be launched into the area.
I wasn’t able to spend much time here as I was just passing through but would definitely like to go back to try and get some better lighting and maybe a different perspective.
