Autumn in the Capital

I think Autumn is my favourite time of year in Canberra. Sure you can set you watch to the fact that come Anzac Day it will be freezing cold again but there is something about windless days and blue skys that really appeals. Combine this with the fact that this is about the time when the colours around the Capital come to life and with it comes a raft of photographic opportunities.

This shot was taken last week late in the afternoon just before sunset (about 5.15pm) and shows the beautiful colours of the poplars lining Lake Burley Griffin with Parliament House prominent in the background.

It was a stitched image taken with the D90 and Sigma 70-200mm.
